clematis princess diana

Striking, bright pink, trumpet-shaped flowers with prominent, creamy-yellow centres from August to October and mid-green leaves. This late-flowering clematis looks lovely scrambling through a climbing rose or tree in full sun or semi-shade. Height 201-250cm; spread 91-100cm.

However, this variety of Old Man's Beard is best known for its tulip shaped flowers which appear throughout the summer. Their bright pink petals are complemented by honey coloured stamens, providing a colourful addition to cottage gardens, patio containers, trellises and obelisks. Height: 4m

Instead of the more common large open-faced blooms this attractive variety of clematis has trumpet shaped magenta pink flowers that are narrow at the base then flaring as a star shape that gives a view of the contrasting stamens. The overall effect is as beautiful as it's namesake. Clematis 'Princess Diana' is a late flowering texensis cultivar which will be in flower from mid-summer through to autumn. The maintenance is minimal
