Clematis 'General Sikorski' was named by its Polish breeder after the famous General and Prime Minister of Poland in exile, during WWII, who was killed in an RAF plane crash, after taking off from Gibraltar in 1943. It has large lavender purple flowers with yellow anthers, that flower profusely between June and September. With dark green foliage and twining stems, it is perfect for growing up wall trellis, or in obelisk planters on patios and decking. An RHS Award of Garden Merit variety.
